The Diamond Dunk, better known as the Tiffanys because of the resemblence to the Tiffany and Co. color scheme, were probably my first real brush with hype and the chaos that comes with super anticipated releases.
I wasn't around for the Supreme or Heineken release but I can only imagine they weren't as ridiculous. The 2 official threads on NT reached several hundred pages and I was calling every skate shop in the US. Row camped out in front of Active on 2 separate occasions. In the end, I copped from Val Surf for $200. It was pricey for a new release but current prices have me more thankful than anything.
Hype aside, it's a beautiful shoe. The aqua/black/silver color blocking is sick and the croc skin is right in line with it's high end M.O. The only drawback is the thinner-than-usual-leather, otherwise I'd be rocking these every chance I got.
