A New York State of Mind: Part One

The $3 t-shirt I picked up on Canal St. in Chinatown said it best: I Love New York

From the social vibe, the 4am last call, the food, the New York minute-pace, to the reported 2:1 girl/guy ratio, it's a city in which I can flourish. For two minutes, I even contemplated moving there, which is how long it took MC to text me back and remind me that I would probably crawl my ass back to Cali as soon as winter hit. Maybe I can spend spring and summer there...

Ok enough reflection, onto the trip!

Missed my 6:30a flight but it was cool because I bumped into none other than The Natural himself, Randy Couture! Dude was super cool and patiently waited while I dug my camera from deep inside my backpack. Yes, I was super geeked.

After we land at JFK, we hop a cab into Manhattan and learned why all NY cabbies should compete in Formula One. No pics here, I was too busy covering my face and peeking through my fingers like a little girl.

We settle into the hotel and immediately head out (we only have 3 days, sOnn!) The first night was action packed, to say the least.

My first rooftop party (no kids, Monte Cristo doesn't count!). You needed a password to get in this joint, reeediculous!
