Eff what you heard, this is the GOAT of all iPod docks/players! If you've ever looked for an excuse to take it back and rock an iPod on your shoulder, this is the only way to do it.

Built around a vintage Lasonic boombox, it still has most of the OG features like a radio tuner and EQ adjustment while introducing new ones like a USB port and A/V output so you can play videos.

I wonder if it has an alarm clock function so I can rock it on my nightstand.

The Closing of World Records

Before Serato, when DJs actually had to dig for music, World Records in Alhambra was one of the stops on my "record shopping days". They would always have the newest radio joints as well as a decent house area. The staff was always super friendly and very knowledgeable. Let's not even get into their annual DJ battles; I'll save that for another time.

Thanks to Buddhabong for putting me onto this video - it was shot during their closing party, where they had one last celebration before shutting down. I don't remember why I didn't make it out that day but plenty of cameos in this vid from Buddhabong, Tropik, Source, Goose, Roldan and many more.

No Longer On The Fence

I'm a sucker for good marketing and pretty packaging. I was a little undecided on the whole DJ Hero video game thing but this special edition of it just convinced me. I NEED this game!

It's called the Renegade Edition and it features a different colored turntable/mixer, a carrying case that converts into a stand (!) and a 2 disc CD set, featuring unreleased music from Jay-Z and Eminem.

What recession? I'm definitely coppin!

Sausage Party

Thanks to everyone who tuned in last night to catch me do my thing on DJ Buddy TV. The theme of the night was "Testosterone" and we talked about lots of things guy related from MMA to P90x (will I ever live down "DJ Forearms"?). OC Fair: Everything Fried

On Sunday, a group of us escaped the Valley heat out to Orange County to check out the fair. After reading through hundreds of Twitter posts about ODing on food, rides, and games, it was my turn to partake.

I've been to LA one a couple of times but I gotta say that the 'gangster per square foot' ratio is much less in OC. Nothin like getting caught up in a crossfire (while you're trying to enjoy a mexican funnel cake) to ruin your day.

Saturdays Off The 405

On Saturday, MC and I rolled out to The Getty to catch Cut Chemist rock a set full of eclectic, obscure joints. There was some cuttin, some jugglin, and some flowin. And not once during the whole night did I hear the word "swag". Awesome night.
